Foliculin-75 HP Dosage/Direction for Use

The dose must be individualized according to each patient and condition Ÿ Initial dose of urofollitropin is intramuscular administration of 75 I.U. per day for 7-12 days. One day after the last dose of urofollitropin, administer 5000 I.U. to 10000 I.U. of human chorionic gonadotropin Ÿ Urofollitropin may be administered for more than 12 days in case of inadequate follicular development detected with estrogen or ultrasound assessment Ÿ Urofollitropin at a dose of 75 I.U. should be repeated for at least 2 cycles before increasing the dose to 150 I.U., if there is evidence of ovulation but no pregnancy is detected Ÿ Urofollitropin should be started at the dose of 150 I.U. in the early follicular phase for follicular development in in vitro fertilization. Therapy should not exceed 10 days.
Administration: Urofollitropin is supplied in a vial containing sterile, freeze dried power with FSH potency of 75 I.U./ 150 I.U. An ampoule of 1 ml sodium chloride is also provided for injection. Prior to administration reconstitute the vial in 1 ml sodium chloride and administer immediately. Reconstituted preparation must be used immediately, and any unused portion should be discarded.
